it's been a long time since last update. too long, i guess, but nobody reads this shite anyway, so there you go.

quite frankly, i've seen better times. i've been struggling with a migrene for a good 10 days now, and it doesn't seem to wanna let go.. had a doctor pulling some tricks on me today, trying to get a better blood-circulation etc, we'll see tomorrow if he succeded. right now i'm not very convinced, it is even worse than before, but the doctor told me it would be.. at least she got something right.

12 days and 3 games to go until christmas-leave. we're playing the 2nd match in the 1/8-finals in the e-cup this weekend. we put up a good fight in the 1st match in slovenia, lost by two, wich is quite a low defeat considering that the advantages of playing at home now really starts to show. anyway - if we manage to win at home on saturday, i'm certain we will win by more than 1 goal meaning we should go trough to the 1/4 finals. we even made 30 goals away, wich should be hard to beat, so i think any 2 goals will do it for us.

as mentioned, only 12 days to go before we leave for our holidays, wich will be great i hope. normally is. still some presents to get, though.. help will be appreciated!!!

siri is visting, wich means we're doing guided tours of paris all the time.. oh well, maybe not, but we did manage to squeeze in the eifel-tower on tuesday and eurodisney yesterday.

the tax-free on gardemoen provided me with some new toys - got my pre-ordered 4th generation iPod 40GB, and what a threat! been waiting god knows how long to get it, and it is just perfect. love it already. berit got a little gift aswell, a green iPod mini. she needs it as she's metro'ing 2 hrs a'day, and it is also very nice.

getting the iPod meant that i finally could back-up my stuff, and do a clean re-install of the os. very needed as my computer had been getting more and more sluggish the past months or even year or so.. now everything is back to the state it should be, and all preferences has been tweaked back to my liking.. only took a day or two :)

it's been a while since the last update, sorry about that. been very busy, though, lotsa things to do. quick wrap-up;
played against paris and suffered our first loss this season. we played a really good game, though, only to be f**** by the referees the last 5 minutes. lost by one goal.
everybody was sort of disappointed after the paris-match, and somehow we didn't manage to get 'back up' in time for the next game. chambery beat us by one goal, 2 secs before the end, at home. we only have ourselves to blame - at least a draw was well within reach..
we then played the 1st game in the second round(for us at least) of the european cupwinners-cup. norwegian haslum came to ivry and did a very decent match(4 goal defeat), leaving us with a looong way to go in the 2nd match. at least so it felt.. the week-end after, we still managed to pull of victory in norway, so ivry are now facing slovenian gorenje in the 1/8-finals. to be played the 5th and 11th december. 2nd match in paris.

so much for the sport. not much else to tell, having a couple of days of at the moment, wich is great of course. ah.. forgot - i did see my family for the first time since.. eeeh, a long time, this weekend. wich was great of course. mum and dad came down to see the match against haslum, and also my uncle, aunt & cousins came to see the match. very nice. had some beers with my cousin afterwards. very nice indeed..

just got to know that my new bass will arrive in a couple of days -
it just got shipped off from the store in germany. rickenbacker 4001, '76, ruby in ex++ condition.. a real beauty, and quite hard to get a hold on to aswell, since the color was only made for a couple of years..

played 6th game of the 'championat' yesterday evening, and took home our 6th victory. selestat 23 - ivry 29!
this is when we'll start getting some more troubles, though.. next game we'll play paris, away, and they are currently sharing the #1-spot with us. wednesday will follow with chambery at home. no easy task, either..

afterwards tomasc invited us out for pizza and beers, mainly since norway won against slovenia in the fotball play-off's some weeks ago - we had had a bet going on, and it was paid off trough a very nice meal indeed. thanks!

of all things we will actually play haslum from norway in the next round of the european cupwinners-cup. it will be played two weeks from now, first game in paris, the week after in oslo.. check the schedule for details.

on the other side, both me and berit is somewhat struggling with a flu, although berit's got it worse than me. no good at all, but it seems like it is gonna let go now. i hope..

looking forward to what the next weeks will bring, above all i know it will bring several friends visiting us in paris!

i'm now the lucky owner of a brand new apartement - will be that is, no but i am, or.. how should i explain? well - saturday i bought an apartement in trondheim(my hometown), but it isn't built yet, actually it wont be finsished until after next christmas, sometime before easter '06 realisticly, i guess.. but anyway - i'm sooo happy, been searching for a future place to live for quite some time, so this was perfect. and everything looks very nice. go have a look at the online prospects if you like, at www.fjeregata.no - my apartament will be the one labeled G4.
two floor duplex, quite big kitchen and french balcony - what more could you want?!? very nice, indeed..

to soemthing else; my collection of live recordings is growing quite rapidly at the moment, as i finally found out how one of those torrent-applications works. been downloading like a maniac the last days, so 8-9 shows have easily found its way into my shelves. and more to come.

creteil got their asses kicked, but it was hot until the very end. 24-21 victory and everybody were all smiles afterwards.
the hall was packed, 1400 supporters who all did standing ovations the last 10 minutes of the match. must have been a nice game to watch.. i played a decent match, managed to get a bit more on track after the last two games, so very happy. now we'll play the 1st round of the european cup on saturday.

me myself & berit went to see !!! [chk chk chk] this evening. was allright i guess, although the venue, la maroquinerie, impressed me more than the band. some kind of repetetive disco, funk, crescendo-thing didn't really get me off.. but still quite nice.

on the other hand it's been a great couple of last days, mainly all days since berit arrived. she'll start school tomorrow so parisian life is slowly catching up with us aswell.

wednesday is the first big match this season, as we will play creteil at home, last seasons #2. currently both teams share the #1-spot so important points is up for grabs. the match will be aired on french channel eurosport, aswell as it is already sold out, i've heard, so the hall will be packed. i like!

the bloody airspcace-controllers in norway decided to stop working monday evening, keeping almost every plane, due to set of, grounded.. included berits. took her all day just to get to copenhagen, where she missed out on her paris-flight by mere minutes. she had to spend the night, but is on the plane 'as we speak..'

tomorrow's the day, berit is at least scheduled to arrive, if only norwegian airspace-controllers could have a little more dignity than to stop working due to mental illness(!). all of them.
oh well, it will work out somehow, but i guess she'll arrive i bit late or something. but mainthing is she will arrive!

since last update we've played the 2nd match of the 'le championat'. we went to angers and took home a 8-goal-victory. more important to win than show of the good play. ivry is now number one in french 1st division!

now playing: finally found out how to add streaming radio to iTunes playlists, so NRK p3 is now to be heard in my house again!

not much to say really - just counting days until i finally will get my better half back in town. it's now been 8 weeks since i left trondheim, and 8 weeks is actually much longer than i thought. at least when you miss someone. but still, it's gone fast.. hmm. strange. can days be slow and fast..?? i don't know. it seems so.

7 days to go!

somehow it is always a good thing going to bed tuesday evening. wednesday and thursday brings only one training a day, leaving lots of time for other activities.
tomorrow will be spent in a cafe, with a coffee, cake and a book!

indeed its sunday, thats for sure..
played 1st game of the season last night, and was quite relieved when we managed to pull of a 3-goal-victory against nimes. they had a strong side, but anyway.. just happy to get a good start. surf onto my teams site (link to the left) if it is of interest to you and your able to read strange french statistics etc..
afterwards we celebrated pascals 30th birthday. had some beers (hence the hangover..), and got the game out of both mind and body.

so, today will be nothing-day, maybe i'll grab a coffe or something later. or maybe not. the bed looks tempting aswell.

had the afternoon off, and spent almost three wonderful hours reading in a café by canal st-martin. beautiful place, nice people and great, but still cheap menu.. one of the few places in paris with the non-parisian feel to it(which can be good once in a while), actually offering not only espresso and toast but nice coffe and vegetarian dishes, and some french surprises here and there.. to bad i can never remember the name of the place. but i've been there several times, and will probably go soon again..
afterwards i went to 'pomm' just up the same street, got a calzone to go and sat on a bench by the canal for another hour, reading and eating. very recommended, and exactly what i needed.
needed a little time-out, i guess..

considering having breakfast at the same café tomorrow, as i have the morning off. depends how the same thought looks when i wake up tomorrow. probably far less appealing, considering the match 'me' & 'morning'..

just got back from the sleepy town of lourdes - honestly, i couldn't be happier to be back home. had some times to watch a couple of movies, though, and the amazing prozac nation sneeked its way into the all-time-favez.. amazing film. go see, go see!

well, half of the cd's in my collection is now online. thats kind of the reason for doing this i guess, i've always wanted to keep more system in my recordcollection. that, and maybe cus i'm a tad bit bored at the moment. so, only another 2-300 titles to go, before starting on the vinyl.. oh well..
just had chinees food - great stuff, but the best thing is that it costs nothing! asian food is as good as free in paris..

finally got online, thanks to el ars of the mighty seid space arkestra. although, it doesn't seem to be as easy as i thought. mac and windows doesn't always work togheter(do they ever), and thats causing a bit of stress right now..
[edit]well, windows and mac for once cooperated, and the error was all mine. el ars once again helped out, and now i may proudly state that the site has even got its own css-file. whatever that means. but anyway - at least it seems to be much better.

and we're officially down to 21 calendar days on our(well, my..) countdown. yaih!

been trying to get the page somewhat togheter. been encoutering problems along the way, mainly since it's been a good 7-8 yrs since last time i've been writing html. and back then i never used frames. but it didn't turn out that hard. i got it togheter in a couple of hrs, so the site should be allright, technically.

next concern would be where to put the page. as i write this, the page is not yet on the web, and i'm searching for a decent place to put it. concidering getting my own domain, as i would have to cope with lots of ads and commercial shite if a choose a "free webhost"..

anyway. guess it will take a few days to get online, but then again; i could use some more time to get some more stuff on the site..

and yeah, countdown until beauty arrives in paris: 22 days!
